About Us
I was born February 1, 1941 just outside of Pittsburgh, PA. In 1962, I was graduated from Marietta College, Marietta, Ohio. In that year, I started teaching art in Marion, Ohio. My teaching career continued for 39 years until I retired from the Broward County Schools in Fort Lauderdale, Florida in 2001.
In my photographs, I try to convey to the viewer the emotions which arise and the beauty and diversity which I have seen while traveling from the Carolinas to California. I record Mother Nature at her best and man at his best and worst in the form of abandoned buildings and ornate, mystical structures. I try to convey these emotions by capturing the light, shadow, texture and reflections which I witnessed at the moment I took the picture.
My photographs are most successful when they evoke a feeling of awe at the natural wonders and manmade structures which cover our country from coast to coast. This country is amazing and recording it for others' enjoyment is what I do.
